System types
- On-grid systems, feeding the building and the grid.
- Off-grid systems, for sites without a grid connection.
- Hybrid systems, combining solar with the grid or a generator set.
- Mini-grid systems, serving a community or a site that has no reliable grid supply.
Integration with the grid and the generator
Larger installations depend on careful integration between the grid, the generator set and the PV array: which source carries the load, how they switch over, and how the system behaves when one fails. Our engineers handle that integration, up to megawatt scale.
Sizing a system
A solar system is sized from the load profile and the roof or land area, not from a target kilowatt figure. Send us the building, the monthly electricity use and the roof or site, and we will say what a system can deliver and which type suits it.
